The holiday season is a whirlwind of joy and festivities, but amidst the chaos, finding the perfect gift for colleagues can be a daunting task. Enter Milbrandt, where we’ve discovered a delightful and budget-friendly way to celebrate the season – our Annual Secret Santa Ornament Exchange.

Initiated by our esteemed Fun Officer, Elizabeth Erlandson, this tradition is now entering its 6th year, and it’s become a cherished highlight on our office calendar. The festivities kick off with an office-wide luncheon, setting the stage for a heartwarming exchange that brings out the creative spirit in all of us.

What makes our Secret Santa Ornament Exchange truly unique is the personal touch. Each participating employee fills out a Secret Santa questionnaire, providing insights into the significant events of their year. This allows the gift-giver to craft an ornament that commemorates a special moment, turning a simple exchange into a meaningful experience.

The 2023 Secret Santa Ornament Exchange was a resounding success, marked by the warmth of camaraderie and holiday cheer. To enhance the cozy atmosphere, we transformed our space with a virtual fireplace and curated the perfect festive soundtrack with the “Christmas Cocktail Jazz” playlist on Spotify.

As the gifts were unwrapped, laughter filled the air, and the joy of giving and receiving radiated throughout the room. While only three participants successfully guessed their Secret Santa, the overall experience was a triumph. It’s evident that our tradition has become an eagerly anticipated event, creating lasting memories and strengthening the bonds that make Milbrandt more than just a workplace.
